Eurasian Bank continues to expose fraudsters and released a new series of training videos.

The project was implemented with the support of the Cybercrime Counter-Acting Division of the Almaty Police Department.

There are three schemes in the series, which are now the most common:

• Droppery: when they offer to “just give a card” and promise you an easy income, but in fact they involve you in a crime.
• Financial pyramids: beautiful promises of “easy money” that ends up losing it.
• Dangerous links: a click and your data is transferred to the attackers.

A special emphasis is placed on schemes with droppers. The Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan criminalizes transfers and payments in the interests of third parties for remuneration or for the purpose of receiving it.

Since September 2025, participation in such operations is considered complicity in fraud and can lead to up to 7 years in prison.

Responsibility under Article 232-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

• Up to 3 years in prison for illegally providing access to a bank account.
• Up to 5 years in prison for transfers and payments in the interests of third parties.
• Up to 7 years in prison — for organizers (so-called drop guides) who are looking for intermediaries for fraudulent schemes.

What is important to remember:

• The card is yours only. Do not give or send its data to anyone.
• Any “fast money” is almost always a scam.
• Do not transfer funds at the request of both friends and strangers.
• It is better to call the Bank or the police once again than to become a victim of the scheme.
