The Almatau residential complex is located in the center of the left bank, at the intersection of Kabanbay Batyr Avenue and Syganak Street. The neighborhood boasts a well-developed park area, and its main landmark is the majestic Nur-Astana Mosque. The windows offer magnificent views of the capital, dazzling with numerous architectural landmarks: the monumental Astana-Baiterek building—a symbol of modern Kazakhstan; the unusually shaped State Archives building; and one of the country's most luxurious buildings, the Akorda Presidential Palace. To the west is the Khan Shatyr architectural complex, designed by British architect Norman Foster. Other nearby attractions include the Barys Arena, Astana Arena, medical complexes, and a wide variety of skyscrapers of diverse shapes and designs. Construction of a light rail transit system (LRT) is underway along Kabanbay Batyr Street, with the first stage scheduled to open in 2025. Opposite the residential complex, a new, comfortable school No. 99 was commissioned and is now operating in 2024, and the Sana Bilim educational center has opened nearby.
