Following the reduction of the base rate by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Eurasian Bank updated the rates for a number of deposits. Simultaneously, the Bank launched a new product — Eurasian Flex with a floating rate that automatically changes following the base rate of the NB RK. The nominal rate for Eurasian Flex is currently 14.85% per annum (AERR — 16.01%).
When the NB RK base rate increases, the deposit yield grows, and when it decreases, it adjusts accordingly. Everything happens automatically without any action required from the depositor. The placement period is 6 months.
The formula for calculating the floating rate for Eurasian Flex is predetermined: the level of the base rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan minus 1.9 percentage points. This spread is fixed for the entire term of the deposit and does not change, allowing the client to understand the principle of their deposit’s yield formation in advance.
Replenishment and partial withdrawal of funds are allowed for the Eurasian Flex Deposit, making it a convenient tool for those who value maintaining access to savings along with yield.
The Eurasian Flex Deposit is available for opening in the Eurasian Bank mobile app and at the Bank Outlets. The current deposit rate and detailed terms can be checked on the official website of the Bank.
The new deposit participates in the mandatory deposit insurance system, and the maximum amount of the compensation is up to 10 million tenge.
