New Type of Video Calling Scam via WhatsApp Messenger

Criminals are using the popular WhatsApp messenger for video calls. They can get the data to apply for a loan in someone elseэs name with just a few seconds of conversation.

Scammers can call via video call to copy the facial image of the person who answered the call. There have been cases where scammers have copied a facial image and verified in mobile banking through a video call.

Don’t answer calls from unknown numbers, especially foreign numbers! If you do answer the call, immediately report it to police officers at 102.
