Eurasian Bank continues to help Kazakhstanis fight back against fraudsters by launching a new series of videos describing popular deception schemes.

The videos were prepared with the support of the Division for Combating Cybercrime of the Almaty Police Department. They reveal scenarios when people do not stop a phone conversation on time, panicking when they call from any services, or believe in easy ways to make money. It is not the actor who “sobers” the characters, but the real Police Captain Azamat Sarsembek.

“In 2024, Kazakhstanis lost more than 45 billion tenge due to digital fraud. These figures are really impressive, and our Bank decided to play an important social role — to warn citizens with the help of illustrative examples. In our new videos, we specifically used images of various categories of people so that everyone can see themselves in these situations and recognize dangerous suggestions in their lives in time,” said Lyazzat Satiyeva, CEO of Eurasian Bank.

“We record dozens of cases every day when people become victims of fraudsters operating according to well-established schemes. This can be countered through awareness and alertness. And it should be a joint effort, like our cooperation with Eurasian Bank – these kinds of videos really work as prevention and help people not to lose their vigilance,” said Police Colonel Anes Kaldybayev, Head of the Division for Combating Cybercrime of the Almaty Police Department.

Recall that in the first series of videos featuring the Bank ambassadors, the main goal of the campaign was to instill a new habit of doubt, not taking a word for it when it comes to money and saying No to any call from the alleged security service, law enforcement agencies, courier delivery with a request to provide an SMS code, transfer money, or provide personal information.
