Eurasian Bank informs customers about the launch of a 24-hour line of consultations on Internet fraud in the Zhambyl Region. The initiative was implemented under the Regional Police Department and is aimed at prompt check of questionable calls, messages and online offers.

The Region residents can contact the CyberPol subdivision by mobile number 8 778 733 4403, including via WhatsApp. A 99-66-07 landline number is also available during business hours. Additionally, requests are accepted through the CyberShekteuTaraz Telegram bot.

In which cases it is worth seeking advice:

• unknown people promise guaranteed income or offer investments in cryptocurrency and trading;
• callers introduce themselves as bank employees and demand to give an SMS code;
• interlocutors pose as law enforcement officers and rush the transfer of funds;
• suspicious links or offers of remote work with advance payment received;
• friends in messengers ask you to transfer money urgently in case of an “emergency”.

Even if the message or call was allegedly received from a loved one, it is recommended to double-check the information through official channels.

According to law enforcement agencies, attackers are increasingly using copies of bank websites, official symbols, and methods of psychological pressure. At that, many victims later admit that they initially doubted the authenticity of the call, but made the decision under the influence of urgency and fear.
The creation of a 24-hour line allows the region residents to quickly receive clarification and avoid financial losses.
