In accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Bank implemented the function to manage compliance risk.

 

The Compliance Service monitors compliance by the Bank and its employees of the requirements of civil, tax, banking legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on state regulation, control and supervision of financial market and financial organizations, of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on currency regulation and currency control, on payments and payment systems, on pensions, on the securities market, on accounting and financial reporting, on credit bureaus and formation of credit histories, on debt collection activities, on mandatory deposit insurance, on counteracting legalization (laundering) of illegally obtained income and the financing of terrorism, on joint-stock companies, of the Bank’s internal documents regulating provision of services by the Bank and operations in the financial market, as well as legislation of foreign countries that affect the Bank’s operations.

 

In its activities, the Compliance Service is guided by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Banks and Banking Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the Order of the Management Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 12 November 2019 No. 188 “On Approval of the Rules of Formation of Risk Management and Internal Control Systems for Second-Tier Banks”, other regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan governing provision of services by the Bank and operations in the financial market, as well as by the internal normative documents of Eurasian Bank. The Bank also operates within the framework of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Counteracting Legalization (Laundering) of Illegally Obtained Income and the Financing of Terrorism” dated 28 August 2009 No. 191-IV ЗРК, the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Multilateral Agreement based on Article 6 of the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, ratified by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 26 December 2014 No. 267-V ЗРК, aimed at the Common Reporting
Standard on financial accounts of taxpayers of the countries in the OECD list (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), at financial institutions worldwide.

 

To report violations of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the regulatory acts of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, and also the internal normative documents of Eurasian Bank, ethical norms, relating to the Bank’s activities, that you encounter in the activities of Eurasian Bank and its staff, you can address the Compliance Service in an authorized message by filling out the Form below.
