On the eve of Victory Day, cases of telephone and online fraud aimed at senior citizens have become more frequent. Under the guise of employees of social protection or government services, the attackers promise “holiday payments” and gifts for Victory Day, demanding in return bank card data, passport information or SMS codes.
Eurasian Bank warns: these payments do not require the transfer of personal data over the phone and are not accompanied by requests to “pay a commission”. Fake websites and calls using voice imitation technologies are particularly dangerous — all this is done to create the illusion of formality.
Please remind your elderly relatives about the safety rules: do not share personal information over the phone and always check information through official sources.
