About the KZT Deposit Compensation Program
Retail deposits in KZT opened with Eurasian Bank participate in the KZT Deposit Protection Program, which was developed by the National Bank jointly with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Program provides a 10% compensation (premium) for retail deposits that meet the Program’s terms.
To be eligible for compensation, it is necessary to have a current deposit in KZT as of 23 February 2022 and remain this deposit open until 24 February 2023.
The compensation will be paid to deposit holders who have confirmed their consent no later than 1 January 2023.
The compensation requests can be submitted at a bank branch or through Smartbank mobile application.
