Almaty, 4 September 2024
On 4 September 2024, the Women in Tech Kazakhstan-2024 annual conference was held in Almaty, bringing together leaders of the technological and financial industries to discuss topical issues of management and innovation. One of the key panel sessions of the event was a discussion on the topic “Is being flexible only for women?”, which was attended by leading experts and representatives of the business community of Kazakhstan.
Lyazzat Satiyeva, CEO of Eurasian Bank, spoke at the session, sharing the Bank experience in switching to new management methods and adapting modern approaches. The moderator of the meeting, Medet Rakhimbayev, asked the speakers what reasons caused the need to introduce flexible management methods and how they are applied in Kazakhstani companies.
Lyazzat Satiyeva noted that, despite the high degree of regulation of the banking sector, Eurasian Bank is actively implementing new approaches in product development management. In particular, the Bank has adapted the Agile methodology, called EuGile, which is aimed at improving the efficiency of interaction between different units and creating value for both customers and employees.
“Banks, due to their over-regulation, cannot yet afford to completely switch to Management 2.0. However, flexible management methods and the so-called “Management 2.0” are widely used in product development. These changes are dictated by customer requirements, technological changes and rapid market transformations,” Lyazzat Satiyeva stressed.
She also emphasized the importance of forming creative and cross-functional teams, which is especially important for new generations of employees (Generation Y and Z) who seek to work in a more collaborative and less hierarchical environment.
“Our goals are to create products for customers and develop employees through EuGile, which primarily means working for people and with people who influence the creation of successful solutions,” Lyazzat Satiyeva added.
The discussion was also attended by CEO of KASE Alina Aldambergen, Acting Head of the UN Women Office in Kazakhstan Dina Amrisheva, CEO of OZON Marketplace Kazakhstan Moldir Rysaliyeva, Head of the Mastercard Customer Solutions Center Rafal Trapka, Founder of Centras Group Eldar Abdrazakov.
The Women in Tech Kazakhstan-2024 Conference has become an important platform for discussing the introduction of modern approaches to management and the creation of inclusive and flexible conditions for successful business development in Kazakhstan.
