Every day, financial scammers invent new ways to cheat. They know how to be convincing, use psychological techniques, know what to hit, which pain points to press. They play on our emotions.  Now they are actively using artificial intelligence and phone number substitution. As a result, some Kazakhstanis lose money every day.

There is only one way to stop them on your own. Question any call, any offer, any promise, intimidation, or even threat, and end a phone conversation with a firm No. To support its customers, Eurasian Bank launches its series of My Answer is the Word No educational videos. The author of the creative idea is the Movators Communication Agency.

The main goal of the campaign is to instill a new habit of doubting and not taking your word for it when it comes to money. The videos show in detail the most common tricks of scammers, and the main message: If anyone calls you from the alleged security service, law enforcement agency, courier delivery with a request to provide an SMS code, transfer money, or provide personal information, doubt it.

«More and more often we come across stories of our customers who lose their savings due to fraudsters. Each case is followed by personal drama and loss of trust in the financial system. That’s why we decided to launch this social project to help people resist fraudsters. Doubt is the only way that can protect you from scammers. Don’t be afraid to say no. This is the strongest word for your safety».

«We deliberately used bright and simple messages in the videos so that every Kazakhstani could remember them. Our goal is to teach people how to respond correctly to popular fraudulent schemes. We are sure that the rhyming slogan and the simple No word is understandable and remembered even in conditions of panic, when scammers are trying to scare and convince of their rightness».

«I am happy that I became a part of such an important project. Fraud is a real threat that anyone can face, regardless of age. I almost fell for scammers myself once. I was selling technics through an ad site, and I got a call from an alleged buyer. He asked me to provide the card number, and then I received an SMS code, which he insisted that I dictate. This alerted me, I remembered that they always and everywhere say that you can never tell anyone an SMS code. I refused and explained that the money could simply be transferred using the card number. In response, the interlocutor hesitated and hung up. This case clearly showed how easy it is to fall into a trap if you don’t pay attention. If it wasn’t for my vigilance, I could have lost money. Therefore, such videos play an important role, reminding us how important it is to be vigilant and be able to say no in time in such situations».
