Attackers Began to Pose as HR Managers during an “Online Interview” with Data Theft

An invitation to an alleged interview comes in messengers or social networks. The format is a hangout via Google Meet. But the link leads to a fake website that asks you to enter your Google account username and password.
As a result, criminals gain access to your email, cloud, bank notifications, and other personal information.

What to do:

• Never enter usernames and passwords via external links.
• Always check the website address (it should start with https://meet.google.com/).
• Use two-factor authentication – this will make it more difficult to access your data even if the password is leaked.

SuperCard – Stealing Money Even without Calls and SMS

A new malicious SuperCard app is distributed under the guise of useful services, including allegedly “banking” ones. In fact, it intercepts data from your card during contactless payment via NFC. As a result, fraudsters can debit funds from all your accounts at once.

The peculiarity of the scheme is that the app is distributed through third-party websites and Telegram channels in the APK file format, that is, the user installs the malware himself.

How to protect yourself:

• Install apps only from official stores (Google Play, App Store).
• Do not give access to NFC functions to questionable programs.
• Check the permissions that the application requests.
• Disable NFC if you do not use it regularly.

Scammers play on trust, and any rash action can be costly.
