On Execution of National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Resolution on Customer Data Transfer

On 1 July 2025, the resolution of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan entered into force, obliging banks to provide reports on bank accounts and transactions on them.
What does this mean for you?
1. Data security:
Your personal data (full name, IIN) is not transmitted in clear text. Instead, there are used:
- DIN (Depersonalized Identification Number) — for customers with IIN;
- AIN (Alternative Identification Number) — for customers without IIN.
The algorithms for generating these numbers exclude the possibility of their decryption by third parties.
2. What information is transmitted?
Information about the account holder (without full name), contract, currency, balances and transactions (receipts, debits, etc.).
3. Access to data
The information is provided by the Bank only to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan upon their request (Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund Joint-Stock Company) through secure communication channels.
Why is this important?
The requirements are aimed at increasing the transparency of the financial market and comply with the requirements of the following laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
- On Personal Data;
- On Banks and Banking Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- On the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- On State Regulation, Control and Supervision of the Financial Market and Financial Organizations;
- On Mandatory Insurance of Deposits Placed in Second-Tier Banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Your data is protected, and the transfer is strictly regulated by the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Bank complies with all the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the preservation of information about personal data of customers, as well as on banking transactions conducted by customers.
