Member of the Eurasian Bank Board of Directors, Member of the Board of Managers of the Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) Shukhrat Ibragimov established Eurasian Space Ventures (ESV), a private space company in Kazakhstan. At a briefing today within the major Consensus conference, organized by Coindesk in the United States, he announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for ongoing cooperation and development of joint projects in the field of space and blockchain technologies with SpaceChain, which is developing the world’s first decentralized satellite infrastructure in space. 

Initially, ESV will manage and coordinate two joint space projects, Biteeu and Divine, developed jointly with SpaceChain. The satellite responsible for their work in orbit will be launched on Elon Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 on 24 June 2021. The SpaceChain Company’s orbital space infrastructure will be used to perform ultra-secure multi-signature transactions and data backup on the Bitcoin network. Divine is a public project that uses space technology to broadcast audio recordings of the Quran directly from satellite for free to Muslims and anyone who wants to understand the holy scriptures of Islam around the world.

Founded by Shukhrat Ibragimov, ESV, a private space company from Kazakhstan, aims to serve as an international center for space project development and interaction of related organizations seeking to make profitable use of the reliably developed space infrastructure and ecosystem in this country.

Under the agreement, the two companies will exchange information and experience, as well as ideas, and develop joint projects in the field of space technologies for two years.

SpaceChain will explore opportunities to collaborate with its partners in the global space industry to make effective use of the space facilities and infrastructure available in Kazakhstan. ESV will facilitate cooperation with the National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, also referred to as Gharysh Sapary, on behalf of both companies.
