ALMATY, August 29, 2018 Press Release Eurasian Bank (hereinafter – the Bank) acquired the new InfiniBox data storage system.
In the past two years, the Bank has shown a high growth rate of business, which entailed increased burden on all IT systems and led to a significant increase in the information processed by the Bank. There was a need for a new reliable and high-performance data storage service. The innovative solution of the Israel company Infinidat, meeting the most modern standards for systems of this level, fully satisfied the requirements of the Eurasian Bank IT Department:
- a record system capacity of 500 thousand IOPS (IOPS is a number of Input / Output operations performed by the data storage system per second)
- reliability of the system, estimated at 99.9999%
- possibility to flexibly increase the amount of space from 10TB to 4 PB
- simple and intuitive interface
“Eurasian Bank was the first in Kazakhstan to integrate the highest world class data storage system. Normally it takes 2 to 4 weeks to start a system of this level. In the case of Infinidat, the assembly took only 4 hours and another the same for the launch. The next day we spent two hours training and actually completed the implementation process. The system is very understandable and friendly. It is self-learning: for example, the system algorithm predicts future operations, and this allows the entire data processing infrastructure to function more efficiently”, said Oleg Pechenkin, Deputy CEO of Eurasian Bank.
The Infinidat solution allowed in the shortest time to increase the availability and reliability of key services of the Bank. In addition, the introduction of the system reduces the operational costs of the Bank, and in the long term – capital investments in the IT infrastructure as well.
