Last weekend, the teams of Eurasian Bank branches and the head office held subbotniks in all regions of the country. More than 600 employees joined the campaign. During the day, employees cleaned public places of garbage and planted trees on the territories of social facilities. Together, about 7.5 tons of waste were collected and 30 seedlings were planted.

For example, the teams of the Eurasian Bank head office and the Almaty branch cleared the territory of Mount Duman of garbage, dividing it into categories: “light glass”, “plastic” and “metal”. A total of 69 bags of garbage were collected, of which 16 bags of waste were transferred for recycling. The team of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch planted more than 30 green and blue fir trees on the territory of the largest city hospital of the city. In Kostanay, the Bank employees swept the sidewalks, removed garbage on the streets of the city. Similar campaigns were held in all cities of Kazakhstan.

“Our activity within the framework of the ESG agenda for Eurasian Bank became customary and regular throughout the year. Autumn is the time for cleaning cities from garbage, so we decided to launch a kind of green wave of caring for the places where we live and perhaps show an example to other companies and people,” said Lyazzat Satiyeva, CEO of Eurasian Bank.

The EcoNetwork company Eco-trainers, who helped the Bank employees with cleaning the territories, noted that the philosophy of holding subbotniks is deeper than just removing garbage, it is that people’s minds change. If these 600 people become more eco-conscious and start living differently, then the goal has been achieved. Today, Eurasian Bank has committed itself to the formation of a culture of environmentally responsible behavior. The Bank builds the same relationship with customers, taking into account environmental issues.

Recently, the Eurasian Bank Eco-card was recognized as the Best ESG Initiative in Finance within the framework of the PLUS Forum.

The victory in The Best ESG Initiative in Finance nomination was a recognition of the consistent and efficient actions of Eurasian Bank in supporting public initiatives in the field of ecology and sustainable development.
