The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev got acquainted with the production facilities of the Besqaru Kazakhstan Manufacturing Plant, which provides a full production cycle of modern armored vehicles.
The key role in the implementation of this strategic project was played by Eurasian Bank, which acted as its financial partner.
“We support projects that contribute to the development of Kazakhstan’s industrial potential and the creation of new jobs. The Besqaru Plant became an important element in the development of the national industry and helped strengthen the country’s competitiveness in the international market,” said Lyazzat Satiyeva, CEO of Eurasian Bank.
Besqaru’s production site occupies more than 16 thousand square meters. On the territory of the plant there are areas for welding housings, X-ray inspection, bending and cutting of metal, as well as final assembly of equipment. The company provides employment for 134 highly qualified specialists, and the level of localization of production reaches 40%, which makes the company one of the most technologically independent in the industry.
“Our goal is to create modern armored vehicles in Kazakhstan that meet the highest quality standards, and to do so at the level of advanced global technologies. Eurasian Bank’s support made it possible to implement this project and lay the foundation for the further development of the national industry. The Besqaru Plant is not only a production site, but also a center for engineering competence, innovation and professional growth of specialists,” said Marat Yessimseitov, the founder of the Besqaru Kazakhstan Manufacturing Plant.
The key event of the presentation was the demonstration of the production version of the Kazakh TAIMAS 8×8 armored personnel carrier, which was fully tested and adopted by the country’s army. The TAIMAS 8×8 platform is based on Turkish engineering solutions, the combat module was developed jointly with the NORINCO Chinese Corporation, while the entire production cycle and final adaptation are performed in Kazakhstan.
In addition to TAIMAS, AIBAR 4×4 armored vehicles and their modifications were presented. The line includes combat, technical and medical versions, as well as communication vehicles. The launch of mass production of equipment, including AIBAR, was performed after the phased adjustment of production processes at the Besqaru site.
Besqaru Kazakhstan Manufacturing is an important step in the development of the national industry and demonstrates how innovation, strategic partnership between business and government, as well as a high level of localization of production are able to create the modern technological enterprise capable of competing internationally.
