Almaty, 5 April
Eurasian Bank sent 200 million tenge to the Qamqor-Aqtobe 2024 Public Fund for eliminating the consequences of flooding and support Kazakhstanis affected by the disaster.
The emergency was introduced due to floods in the west, east and central parts: Aktobe region was particularly affected. In this regard, the Bank management decided to provide assistance to this region.
“All these days we have been going through a difficult ordeal, which literally turned people’s lives upside down, filled cities and towns. The Bank decided to do everything possible to support families and contribute to the rapid restoration of homes, farms and territories affected by the consequences of the natural disaster,” said Lyazzat Satiyeva, CEO of the Bank.
In addition to the Bank’s centralized assistance in the amount of 200 million tenge, the Bank employees organized their fundraising in the first hours of the news about the floods, and purchased basic necessities for affected families in four regions of Kazakhstan — Aktobe, Kostanay, Uralsk, Kokshetau.
More than 10 Bank employees are among those evacuated from the flooded areas. They will also receive financial assistance.
As previously reported, Eurasian Bank, among other financial institutions, provided deferrals on loans for 3 months without accrual of fines and penalties for individuals and legal entities. Applications can be submitted online and at the Bank outlets.
It should be noted that the ERG group, whose ecosystem includes Eurasian Bank, also sent 400 million tenge to eliminate the consequences of floods and help residents of the affected regions.
