Astana, Almaty, 3 September 2025 — Kazakhstan second-tier banks – Kaspi Bank JSC, Forte Bank JSC, Eurasian Bank JSC and Alatau City Bank JSC, with the support of the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan (AFK), consider it necessary to make a joint statement.

On 2 September 2025, the Akmola Region Prosecutor’s Office published information about organized criminal groups involving bank employees.

The banks have not received official notifications from the Prosecutor’s Office that their former or current employees are involved in this investigation.  Currently, the banks intend to apply to the Prosecutor’s Office with a request for information on this case.

At the moment, the banks are not aware of the facts of the involvement of former or current employees in the circumstances of this criminal case.

After receiving official documents confirming the published information, all the banks are ready to provide maximum assistance to law enforcement agencies in investigating any violations of the rights and interests of customers.

All the banks listed above value their business reputation and perform their activities transparently and in full compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other jurisdictions, international treaties, regulatory legal acts of authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as internal normative documents.

The Kazakhstan professional financial community calls on the Prosecutor’s Office and other law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan to take a balanced approach to public statements on sensitive topics that could potentially endanger the business reputation of financial institutions.
